In 2012, I challenged myself to create something new every day. The parameters? Use six words. As the year progressed, I ended up breaking the 6-word rule but the main point was to explore imagery, investigate form and texture, and, of course, play with type. You'll see a range of work. Much of it was influenced by what took place that day, everything from the weather to politics. Some of the results were stunning, some not so much. But that's what the creative process is all about.

The First 16 Days
My goal is simple—to create something new every day. The only criteria is that I use six words in my image. Because I am just starting this project now, I have grouped my first 16 images as one. I will let my day guide the visuals I create. Maybe I'll try out a new typeface, or play more with texture. I might be influenced by a song I heard on my drive into work, or interesting dialogue in a movie. Here's to a creative year!
